We are an assembly of believers in Jesus Christ testifying to the saving grace of God to forgive sin and save our souls.
What a glorious thing to be forgiven!......
Our desire is to emulate Christ, bring glory to God, and to follow the pattern set by those early believers in Acts. Like them we desire to enjoy fellowship with God's saints and encourage one another. We desire to know God's Word in a deeper and more meaningful way that we might live to please Him, therefore preaching and teaching are of great priority in the education of the saints. Prayer is necessary both individually and as a body “ it keeps us tender to those needs around us and in tune with our Savior. Evangelism is also a natural expression of our faith, therefore, sharing Christ with those around us is to be our joy and responsibility. Finally, we would encapsulate our goals by adding service. God has saved us to serve Him and we believe that we should become involved in ministry with our local fellowship and community to share the Good News and make a difference for Christ's sake.
We hold and seek to live these truths:
The Sufficiency of Scripture - God has given us all we need for life and godliness in His Word, the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
Salvation by Faith in Jesus Christ - Ephesians 2:8-9 "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."
Sanctification - Growing in Christ and being separate from sin; putting off sin and putting on godliness is the process of becoming more like Jesus Christ (Col. 3:5-12).
Living Obediently - James 1:22 "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Loving the brethren - Jesus told us that us that by our love one for another we would show the world our faith, that we are true disciples of Christ (John 13:35).
Evangelism - We must make disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing with others the good news of His death, burial, and resurrection and by teaching them to observe all that He commanded (Matt. 28:19-20).
Service - Every member should be serving in the church using their spiritual gifts (Gal. 5:13; 1 Cor. 12:7).
We are a traditional, conservative church. We desire for our services to be a vibrant and excellent way to bring glory to our great God.
